2. What is considered Personal Data?
Personal Data is any information that relates to you, or may be attributed to you. Such data is, for example, your name, surname, father’s name, address, postal code, city, country, county/region, telephone number, mobile phone number, as well as your email address, etc. Additionally, personal data also includes some technical data relating to you, such as your IP address or the devices from which you make use of our website, etc.
3. When and what types of Personal Data does SlashData collect and process?
SlashData collects those types of personal data whenever this is necessary for the operation of our website and the provision of our services to you.
SlashData does not collect personal data of specific categories or personal data concerning individuals of age under 16 years old.
In particular, we collect and process personal data from our website visitors and registered users in the following cases:
- Upon your entrance and browsing our website

- Upon your entrance as a registered user
For your access as a registered user to our portal and in order for you to have access to SlashData paid and free research services and products and receive notifications about them, it is required for you to provide us with some basic personal data that allow your identification and communication with our website.
Personal Data we collect about you is the necessary sign-up information that is needed in order to provide you access to our website and Services offered through the website, including your name, surname and email address. It is also required for you answer to some basic question regarding your professional status. Then, after the completion of your registration, a confirmatory email shall be sent to you on behalf of our Company. All your personal data shall be collected at this stage by our Company.
- Upon the submission of an online contact form
For the submission of an online contact form, you are required to submit personal data such as your full name, company name, role in company and e-mail address.
- Event tracking (web app)
We collect data to track and analyse user behaviour including but not limited to actions such as landing page visits, sign-up and login activity, dashboard and graph views, dashboard and graph time spent on screen/device viewport, filter selection, dashboard and graph share activity. The data is used to understand how the user interacts with the web app and how its content can be improved.
- Cookies
Cookies are small data files which are installed on the electronic device through which you use our website. We use Cookies to ensure the most efficient operation of our website and provide you with a customized experience while browsing our website, as well as to collect anonymous statistical data so as to improve the operation of our website and the provision of our services to you.

5. Does SlashData transfer or disclose your Personal Data to third parties?
SlashData does not and will not sell, rent out or trade your Personal Data. Access to your Personal Data shall only be provided to our duly authorized employees or business partners who act on our behalf for the above purposes of processing, by offering us IT or other services for the registration and storage of your data and/or for the operation of our website. You acknowledge and agree that SlashData may employ third party companies and individuals, agents, contractors or partners to facilitate the provision of its services related to SlashData website and provide part of these services on our behalf or to assist us in analyzing the use of our website, or to provide to us technical or legal support. These third parties, when appointed, are considered as Data Processors.
In any such case, SlashData shall ensure that any third party subscribes to the principles set hereby and is subject to applicable legal framework (including GDPR), providing the same level of privacy protection as required by the present Policy and agree in writing to provide an adequate level of privacy protection. Any such sub-processors will be selected with due care and we will provide that they will be bound by adequate contractual arrangements pursuant to Article 28 of GDPR.
SlashData shall be liable for the acts and omissions of its Processors and Sub-Processors regarding the protection of your Personal Data to the same extent SlashData would be liable if performing the services directly.
7. Security measures for the Protection of your Personal Data
We are committed to safeguarding and protecting your Personal Data and will implement and regularly review appropriate technical and organizational measures to ensure such level of security appropriate to protect any Personal Data provided to us. We consistently apply such measures in order to prevent accidental or unlawful destruction, loss, alteration, unauthorized disclosure, or access to your Personal Data. To this end, our database is accessible through authentication (ISO 27000 compliant) and backups of data are carried out in daily basis.
SlashData operates in compliance with strict policies and procedures and employs reasonable electronic, managerial and technical procedures to safeguard and secure your Personal Data.

We will not retain any Personal Data longer than necessary to fulfil the purposes for which it was collected, unless the law requires us to hold your Personal Data for a longer period, or delete it sooner, or unless you exercise your right to have the information erased (where it applies) and we do not need to hold it in connection with any of the reasons permitted or required under the law.

SlashData ensures that you can exercise all of your rights under GDPR in relation to your Personal Data that SlashData holds and processes.

- withdraw a previously provided consent to processing of your Personal Data etc.;
- restrict or oppose to your data processing;
- get free access to your Personal Data (depending on the volume of data, we may ask you to cover some of our costs).
We will use our best endeavors to evaluate and respond to your requests within a reasonable time, while we will inform you of their progress.
SlashData reserves the right to reject requests that are unjustifiably repetitive, or their implementation is contrary to our legal obligations, or require disproportionate technical efforts or have disproportionate technical implications for the operation of our website. In any event, you have the right to submit a complaint before the competent supervisory authority.
